More than 4,000 Americans die each year in fires,
and more than 25,000 are injured. Deaths resulting
from failed emergency escapes are particularly
avoidable.
The United States Fire Administration (USFA), a
division of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA),
believes that having a sound escape plan will greatly
reduce fire deaths and protect you and your family's
safety if a fire occurs.
Fire escapes are the most overlooked fire
protection device. Many property owners may not
realize that the potential for danger exists until, in
some cases, tragedy strikes. Fire escape manufacturers
recommend that all types of fire escapes should be
serviced once in every 12 month period. These metal
structures are being continuously stressed by the
constant moisture and in our area, salt air. The
Lightship Group can fabricate a new fire escape,
modify or repair your existing escape.
